Ancestor Trading Card Template: One-Time Setup
Video Tutorial | Part 1 of 4

It’s been an exciting week for me because I have added the first Ancestor Trading Card template to my Etsy store. The template is one of a series of trading card designs. So watch this space for news on other versions over the next couple of months.
To show you what is possible, I’ve put together a 4-week video tutorial series. These episodes will take you from setup to production. The topics are:
- One-time setup (week 1)
- Create your cards (week 2 & week 3)
- Export and print (week 4)
I wanted to give you a bit of a behind-the-scenes on my processes to show you how:
- to use the PowerPoint template
- I create my Ancestor Trading Cards
- easy it is to customise the template to build unique decks for your family story.

But Prudence, I don’t have the Ancestor Trading Card template…
Not a problem because I thought about that too. Obviously, the videos will be super helpful if you have purchased the file. Or you want to but aren’t sure if it is easy-to-use. But if not then it’s a great insight into my processes. PLUS you’ll learn some handy PowerPoint and PDF tips along the way.
And who knows, maybe I’ll inspire you to get creative and put together your own Ancestor Trading Card designs!
The Ancestor Trading Card template toolkit

Hi, Will your template toolkit work in google slides?
No, it’s been designed specifically for PowerPoint functionality. I’m currently working on a version for Canva which will be out in a month or so
Hello can it be added to or edited?
You can learn more about the template over in the store – https://www.creativefamilyhistorian.com/product/classic-trading-cards-ppt/. You should find everything should be explained in the photos and description but if not, please let me know.
